Our reliance on dedicated fosters is immense, as they play a key role in saving more dogs. By fostering, you not only get the joy of canine companionship but also significantly enhance the adoptability of these dogs by socializing them and providing essential care until they find their forever homes.
People for Paws AZ Rescue is committed to setting up our fosters for success. We equip you with all the necessary supplies, including food, and provide comprehensive training resources. Additionally, we cover any required medical care costs, ensuring the well-being of the animals in foster care. It's a collaborative effort to give these dogs the best chance at a happy life.

Get Involved
Volunteer
Join our community and become a cherished volunteer. At People for Paws AZ Rescue, you'll be welcomed into a fantastic network of animal enthusiasts. We offer a variety of volunteer roles and are excited to match you with the perfect fit.
Please note that volunteers need to:
Be at least 16 years old to work with dogs.
Attend our New Volunteer Orientation.
Undergo additional training based on the chosen role.
Volunteer Roles
Grooming
Help us give our pups a much needed makeover! Volunteers will help with bathing dogs and helping them look their best.
Fundraising/Event Planning/Event Helper
Work directly with our Development Director to help fundraisers/adoption events. Assist with setup/take down on days of adoption events and other rescue off-site events. Helpers are also available on-site of events to answer questions of potential adopters.
Transportation
Assist with transporting dogs to and from adoption events, vet appointments, from the shelter, to foster homes, and other off-site events.
Puparazzi/Videographer
Photos are worth a thousand words and also helps our dogs find forever homes! Help take amazing photos and videos of our dogs and other rescue events.
Social Media Wizard
We need volunteers that are well versed with using social media. Help create content, post adoptable dogs and our upcoming events.
Mutt Manners
Volunteers with experience in training dogs and teaching them their basics to ensure they thrive in their forever home. Some dogs require in-depth training and need someone to answer any questions from our fosters regarding behavioral issues.
Administrative
Help us stay organized by helping us update our databases.
